Palo verde blossoms~Today's Flowers~033113

Hubby and I went to the Living Desert Reserve today, along with our very pregnant daughter and son-in-law.  I renewed our annual membership and they also bought one.  Our daughter figured it would be worth it because she can take her daughter there in the stroller, walk around, and get some exercise.  HA~we were there for two hours this morning and I came home and took a two-hour nap!  Poor old grandma!  Anyway, the palo verdes are blooming all over our desert and I took this photo while we were at the Living Desert.  Be careful~they are also full of bees!  Today's Flowers for Sunday, March 31, 2013.   To visit Today's Flowers, please go to:   http://flowersfromtoday.blogspot.com/

  1. Although we have many Palo Verde trees around us & maybe a dozen on our property we have never seen them with leaves on or blooming. They are still void of leaves right now so must be late blooming trees. Have always liked the green bark. Sure would like to see first hand what Arizona looks like in the late Spring, Summer, & early Fall months. We only ever see it in the winter & we love it:))

  4. That's a great photo and if I lived near The Living Desert I would be there all the time. It's a place I have heard a lot about and it's on my bucket list. On top of everything else I have always wanted to see the spring desert flowers blooming. Thank you very much for sharing with Today's Flowers.
