A trip to our local farmers' market

Palm Desert has a local farmers' market every year from about mid-October to May 1st.  I love to go there and walk around, but the prices are $$$$.  BUT, the benefits are that (1) you know where your food is coming from; (2) you can talk to the actual owner(s); and (3) you get outdoors in some refreshing sunlight!

So, last Wednesday I urged our daughter (who was still on winter break) to take Miss Ellie (the 5 year old granddaughter) to the farmers' market.   Now, Miss Ellie knows that that is because she had a very mini one at day care once AND the Palm Springs public library has a stand of plastic fruit in their childrens' library center.  Finally, she LOVES fruit!   So, I decided since she was also still out on winter break, we should ALL head over there.   So we did.

 At the garden part...
 Smelling the sunflowers!
She got to put things on an old-fashioned scale!

It was a fun experience for all of us and I will be returning next Wednesday, FOR SURE!
