It was an extremely windy day Saturday and as I was driving down the mountain, after feeding my horses an extra meal, the wind got stronger and stronger in some areas. Actually, it was windy all over the desert and mountains Saturday. These were some of the worst winds I've seen in 35+ years of desert living! And, the road DOWN the mountain was a real thrilling ride! Oh, boy! The wind was whirling up dust, but at one point, off toward Mt. San Jacinto, there was a gorgeous rainbow. The clouds were spilling over the mountains, but the desert below was clear (but still windy!). It was an unusual day! Our World Tuesday for January 25, 2012.
