Oaks~ABC Wednesday and Outdoor Wednesday 042810

I found these oak trees up on the dirt road by Cahuilla Mountain, seen in these pics. Further up on the mountain are pines, but at this elevation, about 4300 feet, the oaks are thriving. While oak trees may be seen from the paved road, I enjoyed driving up the dirt road, seeing the views of the valley below, and being closer to these. I plan on returning to Cahuilla Mountain in the future! ABC Wednesday and Outdoor Wednesday for April 28, 2010.

I like oak trees they are huge and they give good shade in summer. Happy weekend!

How beautiful! I've always been fond of oak trees. They exhibit an unusual shade of green.
