Mountain wildflowers~Nature Notes 042910











While our desert wildflowers are pretty much gone, our local mountains are in full bloom. Last weekend I pulled off the main highway and took some photos of these mountain beauties! They are in their prime right now and have endured last week's snow and this week's winds. Nature Notes for April 29, 2010.

    We went from a cold rain and snow to a high temperature of almost 80 here in western NY. I guess you have extremes also..but what a treat to be able to see true wild flowers in a natural setting...Thank you for posting to Nature Notes...I appreciate it very much...Michelle
