Palm Springs is known for its wind turbines and these are just a few of them. Actually, these are off of Indian Canyon Drive (see the road in the top photo)? That street is often closed down on windy days due to the blowing sand, which you can also see in the top photo. Do you know how LOUD those wind turbines are? There are some up by Whitewater Canyon and I drove by them one day, got out to take a couple of photos, and hopped back into my car! Boy, they are loud! And, several of them are near homes! So much about human leadership and it's motivation is so lame. These alternative energy projects have destroyed more than they've saved, and still political ideologues on both sides will insist "Not My Guy"
ReplyDeleteLiving along the shores of Lake Huron we have unobstructed winds rolling in across the lake & that has brought wind turbines to our area. Local farmers & towns people are fighting so hard to stop any more from being built but they just keep coming & coming. It has turned neighbor against neighbor......& they just keep coming:((

ReplyDeleteThese pictures clearly indicate how wind turbines can make an area attractive. However, one must not forget the effectiveness of Wind turbines generators in providing clean, green and renewable energy over many years.
