I dedicate this blog to my father, who first put a camera in my hands when I was 12 and who took me to many of the places that I love today.

This is how a thunderstorm starts
It started as just a couple of clouds peeking over the mountain. A couple of hours later, BOOM! CRASH! KABOOM! The thunder was vibrating all over the desert. This has happened the last two days. It will be another hot day here in the desert~114 degrees...sigh...it's hard to be outdoors in this kind of heat.

amen to that... early mornings; late evenings, and the rest of the day in A/C...
ReplyDeleteI look forward to you getting a full photo sequence of clear to clouds to storm to rain...assuming the day job doesn't get in the way! Same here many days...but yesterday, it even rained!
ReplyDeleteThe thunder and lightning must be amazing there with all those boulders and being so exposed!
Love the T-storms, hate the heat.
ReplyDeleteWe are further west from you so we could see the clouds, feel the heat, but no thunderstorms for us. Just icky sweaty heat.
ReplyDeleteGreat clouds, wonderful photos... did you get any rain?
