Clouds over the Minarets~SkyWatch Friday~081712

It was raining again here in the eastern Sierra yesterday afternoon, so when we were returning to our cabin from shopping in Bishop, this was the view of the Minarets and eastern Sierra.  Rain was pouring down in Mammoth, so we didn't turn off there!  SkyWatch Friday for August 17, 2012.  To visit SWF, please go to:http://skyley.blogspot.com/

So-Cal and deserts southwest are really getting blitzed this year with the monsoons. I know because for fun I follow the radar images when you are all in bed.

This winter's El Nino though could be spooky.

I agree with you, Timeless, about the El Nino. It could be a very wet winter here...
