Horse ranch on the last day of summer

This is one of the views of the horse ranch on Saturday, the last day of summer.  The ranch is very green right now.  They've had a LOT of rain the last month.  But, things are drying out and no rain is forecast for a while.  The horses were enjoying the last day of summer and they are already shedding their summer coats and getting their winter ones.

    Mine don't shed their 'summer-coats', they just cover them up with all of that long winter hair, about 4" long. Look like they gained 20#s.

    Hope the grass grows some before frost.. Y'all do have frost in Californica, don't you???
