I dedicate this blog to my father, who first put a camera in my hands when I was 12 and who took me to many of the places that I love today.

Views from Deep Canyon
I love the last view. It is looking down into the beginning of Deep Canyon and the valley floor. The Bighorn Institute (part of UC Riverside) is down there and they do research on the bighorn sheep. They run a fence along the top of Deep Canyon to keep the bighorns from walking out onto the highway and to keep people away from the sheep, especially during lambing season. Many of the hiking trails are CLOSED this time of year, to protect the endangered sheep. I didn't see any of them on my drive Sunday, but it is lambing season, so they are probably hidden. I would like to learn more about them and that will be one of my goals this summer.
