As I was driving home from Temecula last weekend with my friend Barb, we spotted thunderheads peaking over the Santa Rosa mountains. Unfortunately, that was pretty much all they did. They didn't develop, but instead fell apart. I stopped on the way down the mountain to take a picture of what was left of one of the clouds. The desert was cloudless...hot, but cloudless. We haven't had ANY rain at all this summer. None. No monsoon rains, at least...yet.
