This sick. "GO AWAY!" Hubby took this photo yesterday. I was still pretty miserable with my cold and it was all I could do just to sit in front of his laptop! I fell asleep for two hours that afternoon...am feeling much better today!
Hey, I hope you get better. I have something that will cheer you up. I'm writing a rather lengthy article on a Mesquite Dune Experiment on Hwy 78 & Hwy 86 Jct. It was undertaken back in the 1990s by SDSU Soil Restoration Group.
I remember it because at the time I use to travel past it once a week when working in El Centro & Brawley. I have some possitive thoughts and ideas and some negatives on their approach. I'll have it done by tomorrow as I am leaving for Silkeborg Dänemark for a week.
The article is actually more technocal and for that reason on my "Earth's Internet" blog which deals with mycorrhizal relationships and inter-connections with plant roots. Viewing these underground systems as engineered processes to be replicated is the goal here for successful gardening, landscaping and ANY habitat restoration. I'm also doing a home experiment that anybody will be able to replicate when it comes to propagating and outplanting. I started yesterday and it this particular article should have regular progressive updates.

Also looking to apply some of this to replacing Tamarisk Windbreaks with Mesquite and Palverde mounds of Dunes as a alternative which should have been done before.
