On Saturday, the desert awoke to a cloudy sky and light mist. I headed up the road next to Deep Canyon to go give my horses some extra feed. On the way back, I was followed by rainbows at different areas. This rainbow was so vivid that I pulled over in a turnout to jump out of the car and take these photos. Several other cars had pulled over, too. It was cold and windy and my car door nearly blew off when I opened it! Brrrrrrr! Our mountains got their first snowfall of the season from this storm and many people drove up into them yesterday. This area, however, did NOT get any snow, as it is only about 3,500 feet.
