I always love to see the saguaros over in Arizona. There's something very special and unique about each one of them. And, against a blue sky with clouds...how relaxing is that? SkyWatch Friday for July 29, 2011. These were photographed near Bartlett Lake, outside of Scottsdale. To visit SkyWatch Friday, please go to: http://skyley.blogspot.com/

Saguaros command a certain amount of reverence from those who behold them. I think you understand that.
WHEN PLANETS PLUMMET
When planets plummet
And comets careen,
It’s the strangest sight
You ever have seen.
When drunk stars stagger
And comets collide,
It’s time to look up
As you go outside
To stare at the sky
Where the strangest sight
Is the moon-faced thing
That you see at night.

Saguaros are my muse when I visit the SW. Once, driving through the Saguaro National Forest I could swear they were dancing. Arms swooping and turning, their heads held high like ballerinas. Great shot. I long for the desert...
now that's a view i haven't seen in a long time!
