Sierra Nevada~First of the Month~070611

Hubby and I just returned from 6 days in the Sierra and we were there on the first of the month. He'd rented a little studio cabin up at Twin Lakes, which is above Mammoth Lakes. There are actually several lakes connected together by a waterfall which comes from Lake Mamie, which was still frozen over when we were there 2 weeks ago. Now the runoff creates a huge waterfall which we could hear from our cabin. And, yes, that's a snowplow at Mammoth Village. The road was completely open up to the Minerets and the shuttles were running down to the Devil's Postpile and we took one of them the next day. First of the Month for July 1, 2011.
