A desert morning at the end of Deep Canyon. Deep Canyon runs from the desert floor up through the Santa Rosa Mountains, in Palm Desert, CA. Highway 74 runs alongside it and offers many views of the valley below. SkyWatch Friday for January 21, 2011.

Have seen a lot of beautiful sunrises this winter in the desert. Not sure if it's weather conditions or the fact that I moved my office to the east side of the house.
This is a part of CA that I have not had the good fortune to explore. Gorgeous scenery.
