I dedicate this blog to my father, who first put a camera in my hands when I was 12 and who took me to many of the places that I love today.

Desert fence~Friday Fences~021712
This is typical of many of the fences in our desert and high desert. It has space between the posts to allow the wind to pass through it. If it were a normal fence without space, it would quickly be blown over! I found this one out by the Palm Springs windmills last Monday. Ahhh...another 3 day weekend! :-) Friday Fences for February 17, 2012. To visit FF, please go to: http://lifeaccordingtojanandjer.blogspot.com/

Hello, here in Calgary AB we have simular fences but they are meant to catch snow drifts in the winter time. It has been a warm winter here this year & not much snow. Great blog, keep up the good work! :-)

I like the fence shadows.
ReplyDeleteHave a great 3-day weekend.
This fence looks rather flimsy. What is its purpose?
