I dedicate this blog to my father, who first put a camera in my hands when I was 12 and who took me to many of the places that I love today.

A view toward Deep Canyon~Our World Tuesday~020712
A view toward Deep Canyon from Highway 74. There are so few turnouts up on this road that it is difficult to really get a good view of the canyon. I actually drove UP another road for this view, which looks down toward the canyon and across the Coachella Valley. Joshua Tree National Park is up on the mountains all the way across the valley. I have a 3 day weekend coming up (whoo, whoo!) and I can hardly wait to get out and explore some more! Our World Tuesday for February 7, 2012. Lovely! I miss the desert. I lived in NM for 23 years.
ReplyDeleteI love the desert and photos of the desert. Life has so much meaning there. This is why I moved to desert country in the middle of Mexico.
ReplyDeleteEven though it's not that far from L.A. I've never visited Joshua Tree! Maybe because 6 and soon 7 grandkids are pulling me to Sacramento!
ReplyDeleteLove your header, and the clouds look like guardian angels protecting this place:)
Glad I found you!
What a lovely capture of desert textures and life.
