I dedicate this blog to my father, who first put a camera in my hands when I was 12 and who took me to many of the places that I love today.

Meadow fences~Friday Fences~031612
I found these fences up in the ponderosa forest and meadow last weekend. A huge storm is barreling down our way and all of this area will be covered in snow by Sunday...I'm glad I was able to get up there last weekend and see the views. Friday Fences for March 16, 2012. What a magnificent gnarled and knotty fence post!

Love them all.. well done.
ReplyDeleteI loved the post used for the fence in your first shot...in the 2nd shot, it looked like a person standing in the field...had to enlarge it to see it was a long view of the same post! Very clever! Glad you had a good weekend before this one with the snow!
ReplyDeletewow, what a view. love the mountain shot. (:
ReplyDeleteVery nice....yikes...snow storm be safe!
ReplyDeleteI love the texture of the wood

Would you call this another stubborn old fence that refuses to totally fall down? Glad you got in a good camera ramble before the snows came. I'll bet this country is striking after a snow?
ReplyDeleteThat fence post is a fine one. Love that knarly knotted place. I am wondering how far it is before the next post appears. Like how the barbed wire is wrapped around it. I agree that in the second shot it looks like a person standing out in the field, The last two are really interesting. I cannot tell if the cross boards are a gate to not. Did you all get the snow? genie
ReplyDeleteVery good and nice photos.
ReplyDeleteRegards and best wishes
Love that view!
