I found these cuties at the Living Desert!

The Living Desert has a new exhibit about Australian birds, so Tuesday afternoon, I visited it.  It is $1.00 to enter for members and $2.00 for non-members.  I could hear a lot of parakeets, and YUP...that's what it had, along with some other birds.  You can get a stick with food on it to feed the little guys, but I had my camera with me and I knew I couldn't balance the stick plus my camera, so I declined.  Instead, I focused on people who were feeding the birds!   :-)

I didn't know they love corn!

  1. Cool pictures - my grandma used to love her "budgies" (as she called them.)

  3. Those are so beautiful (and so are your photos of them). It's hard to believe that in Australia, birds we consider exotic are as common as sparrows are here.
