Valley of Fire, Nevada

The Valley of Fire certainly lives up to its name!

We headed out about 8 a.m.  I was truly surprised because hubby was ready to go early this morning! Valley of Fire state park is about 36 miles outside of Las Vegas and it is an easy drive to get there.  There were desert marigolds and other wildflowers all along the road into the park.  The entrance fee is $10.00 for non-Nevada residents and it is WELL worth it!  We spent 2 1/2 hours there.

 Interesting rocks!
I call this one the lizard!
Lots of foodprints around this bush!
Stairs leading up to the petroglyphs.  Yes, I DID climb the stairs!

  2. Nice tease to get me there, if it's not too hot this spring.
