I dedicate this blog to my father, who first put a camera in my hands when I was 12 and who took me to many of the places that I love today.

Mountain moods
I really never know what the mountains above Palm Desert and along Deep Canyon are going to be like. On this morning, I was out for my morning walk in the city-sponsored golf course and I looked up toward Deep Canyon. The shiny object in the bottom photo is one of the homes up along the road (Highway 74). Clouds were spilling over the mountains, an event which frequently happens here in the desert. The moisture doesn't reach the desert floor, but falls instead in the mountains. They have had two storms in the last couple of weeks and the wildflowers are beginning to bloom again.

Those whispy clouds certainly do set a mood over the mountains. Very nice.
