I dedicate this blog to my father, who first put a camera in my hands when I was 12 and who took me to many of the places that I love today.

Looking back across the valley~Our World Tuesday~012213
When I drove through Thousand Palms canyon over the weekend, I stopped to look back across the valley and toward Highway 74. You can't see the highway from this vantage point, but at night I can see the cars traveling down it toward Palm Desert. It seems to be especially busy Friday nights, as people from San Diego come here to the desert for the weekend. Also, Sunday afternoon has traffic returning to San Diego. But, Saturday mornings the road is quiet and I frequently have it all to myself! The bottom photo shows a view down toward Deep Canyon from Highway 74 at one of the turnouts. Our World Tuesday for January 22, 2013. Back to work today... :-( To visit OWT, please go to: http://ourworldtuesdaymeme.blogspot.com/
