"N" is for Native American petroglyphs. Hubby and I found some of the rock petroglyphs outside of Bishop, CA. It was late afternoon and the sun was fading fast, so we may drive back in the morning to take more photos. We literally stumbled upon them and they are behind a fence, which we respected. Aren't they incredible? I can't wait to see them tomorrow in the sunlight! ABC Wednesday for April 20, 2011. To see other "N" entries, please visit: http://abcwednesday-mrsnesbitt.blogspot.com/
I dedicate this blog to my father, who first put a camera in my hands when I was 12 and who took me to many of the places that I love today.

They are so neat!!
ReplyDeleteLeslie, I ordered a book from Amazon.com called A Guide to Rock Art and I'm reading it. You can also google petroglyphs and read about them. Most were done by a shaman under some kind of mind-altering plant. They are very interesting and I'm eager now to find more!!!!!!!!
