Wow...I fondly remember my 1st of only 2 trips to the Owens Valley. Wish't I had seen those petroglyphs - thanks for sharing.
(and I don't blame you for not telling - I think people need to find such "sacred places" on their own)

such a beautiful composition! I love the way the clouds are aligned at an angle from the opening between the boulders!
I love that rock! So definitive. Of course I love the rock art, too. Not so sure about the spooky rattles and sounds you encountered.
