I dedicate this blog to my father, who first put a camera in my hands when I was 12 and who took me to many of the places that I love today.

LOVE the rock fences! wish i could have one here - all the way around our entire property - about 8 ft. tall! :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty fence! I'm reminded of Alice Walker's book title: Horses Make a Landscape More Beautiful. They sure do. Have you written the story about your rescue horses? I looked a few posts back and didn't find any. I'd love to hear more about them.
ReplyDeleteThese are like the rock fences I saw years ago in New England although I did see a small rock fence around a small cemetary this past weekend.
ReplyDeleteLots of hard work but the end result is beautiful!
Donna,I'll post their stories here soon. I actually have another blog just devoted to them: http://deserthorses.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteLove the way people take what already exists on their land and make something beautiful and functional out of it--like this stone fence. So the horses made you feel welcome even though no one was home--or maybe just nosy? :-)
ReplyDeleteawesome fence...the horses are so pretty
ReplyDeleteBeautiful horses...they make a nice addition to that gorgeous rockwall! Thanks for playing
ReplyDeleteI LOVE rock or stone fences...or stone houses...just something so earthy about them.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving all the different fence posts! Such hard work to make a rock fence like this.
