"The Dancer" and afternoon sky~SkyWatch Friday 031110

Most of the time I stop by "The Dancer", a bare tree near the pinyon forest of Deep Canyon in the morning. But, on this day, I stopped there in the afternoon after visiting my horses. I am glad that I had a chance to see it in a different light. I checked the dirt road and nobody had driven on it since our last storm, a few days before. I enjoyed being the only person there! SkyWatch Friday for March 11, 2011.

  2. It does indeed look like a dancer! (Although I suspect it was forced to dance by some fierce wind-warriors!)

    THE CLOUD FIDDLER

    Hey, diddle, diddle,
    The clouds on my fiddle
Are making it hard to play!

    Hey, diddle, diddle,
    I need a new fiddle
With all the clouds whisked away!

  3. This tree certainly resembles a dancer. I think it's great that you got a private view before anyone else could come. Nice story and a lovely sky shot.

  4. Awesome shot, love that beautiful gray tree against the soft blue sky! How lovely to call it The Dancer, it looks like a fitting name.
