Salvia ~Ruby Tuesday 030811

I found these salvia blooming along Highway 74 yesterday and stopped to take these photos. I heard bees and I discovered they were all over this salvia! ACK! But, I moved closer and closer and they didn't bother me, so I got these photos! :-) These were actually up by the Art Smith turnoff and trailhead, at the base of Highway 74, across from the Santa Rosa mountain visitor center, which just had its wildflower weekend. Ruby Tuesday for March 8, 2011. To visit other participants, please visit: http://workofthepoet.blogspot.com/

  1. So pretty, and so cool to have "bees" on them. They usually don't bother you if you don't bother them. Well worth the stop for the shot. Mickie

  4. Lovely pics, Cheryl. I think that photography class you took recently was a winner. Your pics were already lovely but you've lifted them to a new level!
