Thematic Photographic: doubles 030411




Two cattle egrets at the Living Desert Reserve. Aren't they beautiful birds? They are all over our desert here in southern California~~in the fields, in the Salton Sea, around the ponds at major hotels, even in the wash. I see them everywhere!     I remember seeing Lots of egrets by the Salton Sea. Very photogenic.

    Great birds. But does this shot mean that they are in an enclosure and not free to leave?

    Yes, these two were in an enclosed area for INJURED birds. If the Living Desert determines that they can survive on their own, they will be released.
