After the storm ~ Our World Tuesday~ 030414

We had a major storm system move through our valley over the weekend, starting Friday.  There are still some streets closed in Palm Springs due to flooding and mud.  Palm Springs does NOT have a system to divert water from Indian Avenue, Araby Drive, Gene Autry Trail, and those streets are often closed after a storm.  There aren't any overpasses which go over these major roads, so they are at the mercy of the elements.  Washington, Bob Hope, and Monterey all have overpasses, but they are further down the valley.  So, it's hard for the folks who live and work in Palm Springs to get to other places during and after a storm.

We all enjoyed the clouds and the snow up in our local mountains.  We've had so many cloudless days that I was out all weekend, taking photos.  Here are some photos from the weekend, including a car stuck in the mud on Indian Avenue.
